Yesterday the 3rd of june 2010 tragical news reached us that Silent (22) has died in a car accident together with his girlfriend (18).
Silent has been a member of squadSTS for a long time during our active and inactive periods. Silent was a strong character who should be loved or hated and nothing between.
Silent we will remember you with honor for all the hours spend with us on the virtual battlefields.
You'll be missed but will never be forgotten!

Sadly Special Tactical Soldiers lost the Delta Force eXtreme 2 ORB Tourney final with an2-1-4 in favor of the combined powers of Delta Force Legends and Legacy eSports.

The match started with two maps Rain of Fire Flagball and we managed to end up in a result in the first map and an 6-0 win in the second map. We simply outclassed the combined powers of DFL/LS in this map and the confidence was growing.
The confidence grown even bigger after we won the first of two SteelWheels TKOTH maps and leading over DFL/LS with 2-1-0. Sadly we could not make a fist to them in the second SteelWheel map, DFL/LS clocked us…
We knew Blizzard TKOTH is the most favorite map of DFL/LS but in the first round we where almost able to manage to take the map. After we took control over both PSP’s we could not find their last zoner and could lost because of time. The 2nd round DFL/LS showed us how good they know the map and clocked us directly from the start.
The tiebreaker map Rain of Fire TDM started off by a lead for DFL/LS with 2-1-3 but we thought we should do a great job since we are better TDM players. Sadly DFL/LS choose the defensive strategy with two snipers and two flankers way out of the map using the know and allowed glitches. We could not make a fist and DFL/LS took the map.
We want to thank DFL and LS for the great games and sadly the penny felt the wrong way… GG!

Yesterday we had a match verses Instand Impact, these guys gave us a real hard time but we knew we would win! Everyone needs to admit that the Special Tactical Soldiers are simply better then you!
The match started bad, the *II* leader did not get in touch with us about the amount of players and we had11 online for the match. *II* decided to go for a 6 man line-up although they had 11 active players on NovaWorld playing. This was not the end of the drama, ORB admins do really struggled with servers, maps and passwords… due all this mess we could finally start at 22:00. Btw I forgot to mention the lag, because of problems with the Virginia server we had to play on the Atlanta server. Let’s not talk about this lag, we’ll just call it pathetic!
We started of with Blizzard TKOTH and since our tactics where completely designed for a 9 or 10 player set-up we had big problems to adjust to the centric game play *II* showed us. After the TKOTH map *II* leads with 0-2 over -sts-.
Then the real rumble started, -sts- would show some Rain of Fire flagball shizzle to the *II* guys by winning Rain of Fire first map with 1 flag scored by Poostmen. We defended great this map, *II* was not even be able to score a flag! The second flagball map was a complete different story, we knew we needed to win and but we also knew this was the harder side. We started off great getting a 1-0 lead by Bluezebra. Unfortunately we did had a bad defense and *II* could make it 1-3 in a real short time, around this time -sts- showed what it’s worth. We took our positions and went for the most awesome 5 minutes a DFX2 match have ever seen I think. First Bleuzebra was able to score another flag, 2-3. Then Dez went into position supported by shots from Delicious and Stretch also some nades from Poostmen and Bluezebra, Mangler could scored 2 flags in a row!Now leading with 4-3 we managed to hold the flag for 2 minutes with some awesome defending!
Now the tiebreaker map, SteelWheels TDM needed to show who will be the winner. Since -sts- is a real TDM team we thought we would do good on this, sadly we also knew we had some big and hard lag. Because of the TDM actions we replaced two of our players by The Legion and Stuutje. We did great and won this map with 87-74!
